MEGAMAN ZERO 4 ============== Nintendo GameBoy Advance/SP/Micro Parts and Recipes FAQ 1.4 ========================= Author: White Blaze E-Mail: tracerturbo@hotmail.com ====================================================================== = SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT = ====================================================================== Do not read more than this if you do not want to find out about what's going on later in the game. Read this FAQ only if you don't care or you have already finished the game. ======================================================================= What this FAQ is all about ======================================================================= I wrote this FAQ to compile a list of all parts and recipes found in the game. Also, a complete chips list and the parts that are needed to obtain them is provided. The Tips & Tricks section is there to help shed some light on some hard to find parts. ======================================================================= Version History ======================================================================= 1.0 First version 11/12/05 - Completed list parts and recipes. - Completed the Mixing parts section. 1.1 version 11/16/05 - Added Tips and Tricks section. 1.2 version 11/24/05 - Added Clues and Recipes location section. 1.3 version 11/27/05 - Added Parts location section. 1.4 version 04/15/06 - Added Junk Chips purpose in Tips and Tricks section. ======================================================================= Complete Parts and Recipes list ======================================================================= Parts Recipes ----- ------- ArcCannon A-Charge Axeloid A-Recover1 BeamWalker A-Recover2 Beeneran A-Recover3 Bombadeer Q-Charge1 Bongal Q-Charge2 Bonsect Q-Charge3 C-Hopper A-Filling Ceratanium WeaponPlus Crossbyne JunkHead CryoNeon Absorber E-Laser Rolling EleDeserter Erase Faital Strong GangaGun Stronger Glacial Strongest GlassCannon Reflect Gyrator Extend GyroCannonH Elf Hechrysta JunkBody Junk Quick Kerberos DoubleJump Kerosh SplashJump LamplortX SpikeTypeI MagnePaN SpikeTypeW MagnePaS Frog Mechameson JunkFoot MeduHopper S-Crystal Mettaur Junk MiniCrabanB MiniCrabanR Molegule Moloid NeedBalloon NicosCrabB P.Corpse Poplan Raiken RBCannon RefleBeemer S-Crystal SandDozer ScrapElf SerpentGear TellyBomb Triaformer V.Claw V.Fencer V.Fire V.Missile Yadokroid ======================================================================= Clues and Recipes location ======================================================================= Recipes are harder to find and some of them can only be found or given to you when you talk to some humans or reploids at certain moments. There is also many clues given to you as to what parts you should try to mix to find a chip. It is not necessary to find a recipe to create a new chip, as long as you have the right parts. Clues from Cerveau ------------------ - An easy way to make chips is to find recipes, but better chips don't have recipes. - Some chips have different levels. Just add a certain something to a level 1 chip and it becomes a level 2 chip. - Try just combining some of the parts you have. You might discover a brand-new chip. - If you want to make a rare chip, try finding more parts. Clues from Hirondelle --------------------- - I order to make body chips, you'll need to pick up Ceratanium. Clues from Faucon ----------------- - If you can find an S-Crystal, Hirondelle might trade you one Sub-tank. Clues from Typhon ----------------- - You can make an S-Crystal with Ceratanium and some enemy parts. The recipe requires one type of Variant, some robot that spits out other robots and then something with an orange body. Clues from your Elf ------------------- - Elf level 3: Use magnet enemy and frog enemy parts for a new chip. (Frog foot chip) - Elf level 4: Ceratatium + propeller + reflective beam parts = new chip. (Reflect body chip) - Elf level 5: With hard mechaniloid parts you can strenghten your body. - Elf level 6: Hammer + Flame thrower + spinner + Ceratanium = new chip. (Rolling body chip) Recipes location ---------------- Absorber - Talk to Faucon after mission 2 Q-Charge1 - Talk to Tornado after mission 2 Quick - Talk to Typhon after mission 2 SpikeTypeW - Talk to Brise after mission 2 WeaponPlus - Talk to a Caravaner after mission 8 A-Recover1 - Talk to a Caravaner after mission 8 ======================================================================= Parts location ======================================================================= This section is to provide you with a list of enemies that drop parts. It is not a complete enemy list. Most of the stages are revisitable unless there is a special mention about the area. Since it is a part, Ceratanium is also mentioned, although it is not dropped by any enemy. It is simply lying there waiting to be picked up. Mission 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 can be taken in any order and are fully revisitable and most of the parts in the game can be found in those areas. Mission 1, Rescue the Caravane ------------------------------ This stage is not revisitable, but the parts in this stage can be found in other stages. Don't worry if you've missed some parts. Junk chips are used to make JunkHead, JunkBody and JunkFoot chips. --------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= Tips and tricks ======================================================================= Easy Ceratanium parts --------------------- Later in the game, when you can freely access the Ragnarok Control mission (mission 13), you can find a very easy and very quick Ceratanium part to grab. You will need the Double Jump chip to do this. From your starting point, dash to the right and do a double jump to reach a pole onto which you can grab and jump again to a ledge above with the Ceratanium part. Poplan parts ------------ Poplan is a plant look-a-like enemy that tries to grab you if you jump over it. One way to destroy it is to simply grab it with the Zero Knuckle when it is stretched out. You can also destroy it with fire. You can do it with the Burning Shot or Flame Fang Ex Skills, your Elf with the Animal trait set to level 3 or any Zero Knuckle weapon with a fire based attack such as V.Fire. GlassCannon parts ----------------- GlassCannon parts can only be found in the Artificial Sun mission. While fighting the Mid-Boss Tyrine, notice the eight GlassCannons rotating aroung it. The core itself (Tyrine) will not drop parts but the cannons will drop GlassCannons. Once the eight cannons are destroyed, you must exit the stage and return to the Boss to collect more GlassCannons. MiniCrabanB and MiniCrabanR parts --------------------------------- These parts can only be found while fighting the Mid-Boss ClabangerNS in the Magnetic Zone mission. This crab look-a-like enemy will drop four MiniCrabans from time to time, two blue crabs and two red crabs. As long as you don't hit the Boss itself, you can make this fight last as long as you want until you collect the desired amount of MiniCraban parts. SerpentGear parts ----------------- These parts can only be found while fighting the Mid-Boss GearBank in the Hibernation Chamber mission. This boss spits out six SerpentGears from one of its four hatches. As long as you leave at least one hatch intact, you can make this fight last as long as you want until you collect the desired amount of SerpentGear parts. Moloid parts ------------ These parts can only be found in mission seven, when the Settlement is under attack. This particular enemy is a converted Shotloid that uses a hammer placed on top of its head to try to smash you. Since this mission's stage is not revisitable, you must make sure that you have the desired amount of Moloid parts before fighting the boss. ScrapElf parts -------------- These parts can only be found in the Hibernation Chamber mission. You must set the weather to a sunny day. Once you reach the second half of this stage, you will reach a part with four conveyor belts with a light bulb above them. You must grab one of the four lamps with the Zero Knuckle and this will act like a flashlight once activated. The next corridor is where the ScrapElf is hibernating. Once you pass in front of a glass tube, the elf breaks free. The last elf is the one that you must try to "push" into the sun ray that's coming from the ceiling. With your lamp activated, the elf will try to flee from your beam of light and that's how you must try to guide it into the sun ray, killing it instantly. This part cannot be found in hard mode since you cannot change the weather and there won't be a sun ray to guide the ScrapElf into. It doesn't matter if you can't have it since this part is only used to make the Elf body chip but you wouldn't be able to use it anyway as you can't raise you Elf level in hard mode. If anybody found another way to kill a ScrapElf, please contact me at: tracerturbo@hotmail.com Pantheon Corpse parts --------------------- These parts can only be found in the Hibernation Chamber mission. In the exact same corridor as the ScrapElf, there are P.Corpses lying on the ground. Once a ScrapElf has broken free of a glass tube, you must wait for it to inhabit one of the P.Corpse and reactivating it. You cannot destroy a P.Corpse until it is activated. Bombadeer, EleDeserter and Hecrysta parts ----------------------------------------- These parts can be found in several stages but they are easy to miss. Whenever you encounter a Mechameson, don't destroy it right away. Instead, destroy the enemies that are coming out of the Mechameson. It will spit out two Hecrysta, three EleDeserter and three Bombadeer. Mechameson has an endless supply of these little mechaniloids so, destroy them as many as you need. Junk Chips, JunkHead, JunkBody, JunkFoot ---------------------------------------- Once you managed to build the three Junk Chips, equipping them together will give you a special power as well as a great handicap. You will also need to cancel all Cyber Elf effects (Level 0) for the chips to take effect. What it will give you is the attack power for the Z-Saber, Buster Shot and Zero Knuckle will be doubled. However, you will also take twice the damage an enemy can inflict. Zero will also be green in color. ======================================================================= Contacting Me ======================================================================= If you wish to contact me for help with MMZ4 here is my e-mail: tracerturbo@hotmail.com ======================================================================= Copyrights Information ======================================================================= Megaman, Zero and all related characters are all trademarks of Capcom, all rights reserved.
